Ralph Nader...no!
Despite the work of grassroots organizations like Ralph Don't Run, Ralph Nader has announced his intentions to run for the presidency citing the increasingly corporative nature of Washington.
There's too much power and wealth in too few hands.... Washington is now corporate occupied territory. There is now a for-sale sign on most agencies and departments.... Basically, it's question of both parties flunking.I implore you, Ralph, please reconsider your decision. If you are truly concerned about large corporate interests directing the future of this country, then you need to be doing anything you can to get GWB out of office...even if it means supporting the Democratic nominee. Now is not the time to create a larger schism in the already beleaguered Left in this country.
(Oh, and I don't buy your letter to "Anybody but Bush" Democrats.)

Even the leftist of the left wing nutters I know agree with this. Nader is a bad distraction. This will truely be the year of "Vote: Not Bush"... it really doesn't matter who wins, as long as it's not him. :) Using the presidential race as a soap box is really abusing the scene.

I think Nader is going to be the next LaRouche. That said, I can't imagine what Nader thinks this will accomplish. He won't win, he won't get the 5% needed to get government matching funds (as, I suspect, many of the Nader voters of last election will be scared to vote for him again), all he can do is parade around and stir up a bunch of muck. I view him like a poison crocquet ball, doing nothing but making things worse.

just another point to support my theory that there is a deep, nearly subconscious plan around the left side of the spectrum to get bush re-elected so hillary will have enough time to prepare to run in 2008.
